cz 512 22 wmr
cz 512 tactical .22 wmr is a portable long-barrelled firearm designed for precision shooting, to be held with both hands and braced against the shoulder during firing, and with a barrel that has a helical pattern of grooves (“rifling“) cut into the bore walls. The term was originally rifled gun, with the word “rifle” referring to the machining process of creating grooving with cutting tools, and is now used for any long handheld device designed for aimed discharge activated by a trigger, such as air rifles and the personnel halting and stimulation response rifle. Rifles are used in warfare, hunting and shooting sports.
Like all typical firearms, a rifle’s projectile (bullet) is propelled by the contained deflagration of a combustible propellant compound (originally black powder, later cordite, and now nitrocellulose), although other means such as compressed air are used in air rifles, which are popular for vermin control, hunting small game, formal target shooting and casual shooting (“plinking“). The raised areas of the rifling are called “lands,” which make contact with the projectile, imparting a spin around the longitudinal axis of the barrel. When the projectile leaves the barrel, this spin lends gyroscopic stability to the projectile and prevents tumbling, in the same way that a properly spirally thrown American football or rugby ball behaves. This allows the use of aerodynamically-efficient bullets (as opposed to the spherical balls used in muskets) and thus improves range and accuracy.

Formerly, rifles only fired a single projectile with each squeeze of the trigger. Modern rifles are capable of firing more than one round per trigger squeeze; some fire in a fully automatic mode and others are limited to fixed bursts of two, three, or more rounds per squeeze. Thus, modern automatic rifles overlap to some extent in design and function with machine guns. In fact, many light machine guns (such as the Russian RPK) are adaptations of existing automatic rifle designs. A military’s light machine guns are typically chambered for the same caliber ammunition as its service rifles. Generally, the difference between an automatic rifle and a machine gun comes down to weight, cooling system, and ammunition feed system. Rifles, with their relatively lighter components (which overheat quickly) and smaller capacity magazines, are incapable of sustained automatic fire in the way that machine guns are; they trade this capability in favor of increased mobility. Modern military rifles are fed by magazines, while machine guns are generally belt-fed. Many machine guns allow the operator to quickly exchange barrels in order to prevent overheating, whereas rifles generally do not. Most machine guns fire from an open bolt in order to reduce the danger of “cook-off”, while almost all rifles fire from a closed bolt for accuracy. Machine guns are often crewed by more than one soldier; the rifle is an individual weapon.READ MORE…

Looks and feels like a rifle should look and feel.

Just got my CZ512 .22 WMR. ,I have tried 9 Different kinds of ammo so far. Only the CCI MO that has the shoulder on the projectile causes any problems at all . On the last round in the magazine the round hangs up in the chamber . My guess is this will work itself out . Accuracy with the 512 is better then nice easy Boltgun. Great rifle.

Bought one of these last year. It rained coons.
The stock is too high would be my only complaint, but I can say that about most guns.

I have 6 rimfire rifles in my gunsafe. 4 of which are CZ. Never ever have I had one minutes problem with either of these rifles. Quality and craftsmanship impeccable; accuracy absolutely remarkable. The people at CZ do things one way. The right way or not at all! Oh yeah their customer service is like their guns—SUPERB.

Just purchased the cz 512 22wmr model, have not fired it yet but I know from looking at it and feeling it in my hands that it’s going to be fun, very nice built gun, there’s is only couple companies that make a Simi auto 22wmr and choose cz on its reputation and quality, durability. First cz ,probably more in the future, can’t wait to get it to the range.

I purchased the CZ 512 American for squirrel hunting. I installed a DIP products picatinny rail and a nikon 3-9×40 rimfire scope with warne rings. I sighted it in with winchester 36 grain hp and I haven’t missed anything with it yet, including the pecans I’ve been shooting out of my tree at 40 yds. I love my CZ rifles !! Best value for the money in my opinon.

Bought my 512 22 wmr just before the great shortage of 22 mag ammo. I have been scraping up what ever brand and bullet weight I can find and this rifle shoots ALL of it into the same spot–amazing for a rimfire to do that.” 1″ groups @ 100 yds are the norm and on windless days I’ve shot several 3/4″ groups. I would like for the bolt to stay open on the last shot, but it is not a big deal. This rifle is a great buy when you consider that other 22 wrm auto’s are $750-1000. I love it

I just purchased a 512 in .22LR and love it. It is very accurate, works flawlessly, and the trigger is smooth with a crisp break at 4 lbs. Nice wood and the usual high quality CZ fit and finish. Highly satisfied.

I’ve been using my 512 for rimfire steel challenge matches and it has performed flawlessly. Much more reliable than many of the customized Rugers and AR platforms. An adapter to convert the 11mm dovetail to a rail-like platform would be nice for mounting some of the red dot sights. I started out borrowing a Ruger from a friend but when the time came to buy a rifle I preferred the feel of the 512.

I bought the very first CZ 512 22 WMR I could find and believe me, it is astounding. Every brand of ammo and bullet weight shoots to the same point of impact! In my years of experience, I have never and I mean NEVER seen a 22 do that. Oh yes, and it shoots minute of angle @ 100 yds. To say the least, it is a joy to shoot and hunt with.

I purchased a CZ512 in 22WMR in early August 2021 along with 4 10rd mags. The gun was awesome after 250 rds of CCI 40gr HP the only problem I had was running out of ammo. The gun was flawless and cleaning was no problem. I would recommend this gun to anyone wanting a great semi auto 22mag.

I ordered a 512 WMR. I have other Cz rifles and handguns, they ALL shoot extremely well. I have been a CZ fan for years.
