Academy took previous reviewer’s advice, both came wrapped, packed nicely in box. Picked the first bucket up, handle snapped and ended up with me and my 8 year old picking up 500 rounds of 9mm. That handle snapped, bucket hit the floor and it wasn’t wrapped as tightly and neatly as I first thought. BUT, to my delight, there were 500 to the first bucket. Probably 500 to the second as well, but that was just a peel and dump into one of the .50 cal. cans I store my 9mm in. Great price, good ammo. Hope they restock soon.

Good ammo. Bad shipping.
This is the second time I have purchased this ammo and both times it was spilled all over the shipping container. The shipping box was was to big for the size of the ammo being shipped. I give the ammo 5 stars but the shipping 0 stars. This is what I get for the 8$ ammo shipping rate.

Need to package better for shipping
Not happy that I had to pickup 500 loose rounds out of shipping box. Could have wrapped federal box in shrink wrap and use smaller shipping box. I would think for the extra 5 dollar ammo shipping charge they would arrive in better condition. I still love Academy I just wish someone in their DC shipping dept would use some common sense.

Cheap plastic bucket
No problems with the ammo, but the stupid packaging is very brittle on the lid of the bucket. I had to gather up half the rounds of the bucket on 2/3 of them because of the cheap lid breaking off a couple pieces of where it snapped closed. No issues with Academy, they were very quick in processing and shipping my order – very pleased about that.
