burris eliminator 3
The Burris Eliminator III is the most innovative and effective riflescope in the world! In one fast sequence, the Eliminator III determines the distance to your target, factors in your trajectory and calculates the perfect holdover. It’s that simple. Using the sophisticated X96 Reticle, an Eliminator III will zero in on game out to 1097-plus meters. It has precise trajectory compensation which is calculated for your exact ammunition and range. Its design is sleek and ergonomic for hours of comfortable handling. Better still, its built-in rangefinder allows you to range your target without carrying additional equipment. This laser scope delivers extreme accuracy at extreme ranges – you’ll wonder what you ever did without it.
THE ELIMINATOR III SERIES INCLUDES:
4-16x50mm
The highest magnification value so you extend your long range shooting capability. Its 50mm objective allows for maximum light collection.
4-16x50mm with cable switch
Added cable switch to allow ranging from a wide range of positions to suit the shooter.
FEATURES
Calculates exact bullet drop in an instant
Program the Eliminator with your specific ammunition data and it will automatically calculate the exact bullet drop – giving you a simple, illuminated point to aim. Trajectory compensation works on any power. Can only be programmed for centrefire rifles only.
Factors in hills and slopes
The Eliminator III has a built-in inclinometer that adjusts for difficult uphill or downhill shots for great accuracy. The Eliminator III comes with a programming book, and there is a web site app ( http://ballistics.burrisoptics.com/) to help get the precise programming numbers you need, based on your elevation, atmospheric condition, and cartridge of choice.
Reticle shows allowance for crosswind
It will also show a 10 mile-per-hour wind value for your specific cartridge. This wind value represents how many dots to hold into the wind for a 10-mile-per-hour cross wind. Simply estimate the actual wind speed and use the Wind Value as a guide to determine the number of dots to hold into the wind.
Mounts
Mounts easily on any Weaver or Picatinny base. Strong, low mounting with its own bases—no rings needed.

I love the burris eliminator 111 scope it is the best scope I ever used. I am 65 years old and have hunted for over 35 years with various scopes but none could compare to Burris. I zeroed it in at 100 yds programmed in my ballistics from shell box. Shot at 200 yes it was right on. Tried it at 550 yds.3 shots in the bulls eye. Unreal the optics are so clear I can see the hairs on a deers nose at 100 yds. I hunted antelope in South Dakota with rifle in gun rack with extreme rough trails the scope took a good five hour bouncing and beating then shot a antelope at 300 yds dead on. Any other scope I owned would have been bounced way off bulls eye and would have to re adjusted. I have since bagged 5 white tail bucks all in one shot each. Burris makes the best scope I have ever used on a rifle. I have used it 4 years and never had to re adjust the settings it is always right on.I would highly recommend a Burris scope for any rifle.

OK, so I just received this scope and have only examined it thoroughly but not shot with it. In that context I am most impressed, it feels as rugged as a Nightforce (although internals will mean a lot), solid metal body, well positioned controls (although I would prefer a remote on/off switch); and an amazing number of accessories provided (sunshield, rapid opening caps for objective and ocular, rail clamps), great instruction manual and extensive ballistics chart. All in all far better than even the multitude of great reviews led me to expect. Burris certainly lives up to its reputation for excellent scopes. Of course the proof will be in the shooting. I shall amend review after I have the chance to test it. But if the other reviews are a key, the this is definitely a winner. I have been looking for technology to finally advance into daylight scopes and this one is certainly a quantum leap above manual scopes. I still have many manual scopes, and love to generate dope for each rifle and load, but this is genuinely a scope for those situations where shots need to be made fast but accurately.

It’s a little on the large side ,programming is not hard and it is dead on accurate.
